For Danny Boyle´s film "127 Hours" you need steady nerves. During early screenings, viewers fainted, vomited and had panic attacks.
Shown at the Telluride Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival two months ago, people fainted and panicked during an arm-amputation scene. One viewer even had a seizure. Screenings in October evoked the same reactions.
“I would prefer that people not pass out; it’s not a plus. We don’t see a particular publicity value in it,” Fox Searchlight co-president Stephen Gilula said.
